Fall Yoga Series – 10 Weeks of Balance

$140.00

Late summer into fall is the perfect time to renew our capacity for balance—literally and figuratively. In this series, we’ll bring renewed attention to stabilizing the core through strength, breath awareness, and mindful movement.

Balance requires the coordinated participation of the whole body and sensory system. A key component is proprioception—our ability to sense the body in space—which supports stability, agility, and confident movement in everyday life.

Our ability to move freely and confidently originates from our center. Using an alignment-based, systematic approach, we’ll gradually build strength, stability, and confidence in balancing poses—skills that support greater ease in movement and can help reduce the risk of falls.

As always, the practice will offer a thoughtful progression, allowing each person to work at their own level while developing greater awareness, strength, and confidence.

Schedule: 10 sessions, Fridays beginning September 4th
Dates: 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, (no class 9/25),
10/2, 10/9, 10,16, 10/23, (no class 10/31),
11/6, 11/13, 11/20

Useful props:
Please have the following props available for our fall session:

• 2 foam blocks
• 2–3 folding blankets
• A bolster or additional blankets
• A 6–8 foot yoga strap
• A stable chair
• Some open wall space
• A 6-foot Flexi-Band, choosing green, red, or blue according to your preferred level of resistance

Having these props readily available will allow us to explore a wider range of movements and adaptations throughout the practice.
